Townhall: Save Right Whales From Radical Environmentalists Who Exploit Them

Americans agree with protecting the endangered Northern Atlantic right whale. But true conservation efforts don’t necessitate displacing lobstermen and recreational anglers in the process.

With fewer than 350 whales left, ambulance-chasing opportunists masquerading as conservationists conveniently swoop in on the whale’s behalf only to leave economic —and environmental—destruction in their paths.

This endangered whale requires protection from radical environmentalists who exploit them.

Last month, American lobster was added to Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch’s “red list” of food to avoid. It claimed the East Coast fishery “poses a risk to overfished or at-risk species” to right whales and added gear entanglement “is the leading cause of serious injury and death to North Atlantic right whales.”

Preservationists purporting to care about its well-being, however, distort the threats posed to the whales.

Fox Business Interview: Small businesses, freelancers fear IRS agents will target them first: Hurts ‘the smallest among us’

After the Congressional Budget Office reported that 78 to 90% of revenue from new audits under the Inflation Reduction Act will come from families making less than $200,000 per year, freelancers and small business advocates are voicing concerns they’ll be the IRS’ main target.

“I think this is the easiest way for the Biden administration to penalize those who work independently because they’ve tried and exhausted congressional means,” freelancer and Independent Women’s Forum Senior Fellow Gabriella Hoffman told Fox News Digital.

“It’s going to hurt the smallest among us,” she continued, “those who just want to get by economically or maybe are trying to find alternatives with COVID, with the Great Recession and what is now called the ‘Great Reshuffling.’”

“P-R taxes are applied to manufacturers who then bake them into the cost of their goods. In other words, although consumers aren’t technically paying the tax, they are ultimately footing the bill. So even if the tax was eliminated, consumers wouldn’t necessarily see a price reduction at the register, since the cost of firearms and ammunition are dependent on a wide variety of factors (including availability and price of materials).” — Outdoor Life

Townhall VIP: Virginia Already Better Off Under Youngkin Policies

It’s been 100 days since Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) was sworn into office as the 74th governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia. So far, the political outsider’s performance has far exceeded expectations.

“Today we gather, not as individuals, nor as Republicans or Democrats, but as Virginians,” Youngkin pledged on Inauguration Day back in January. “No matter who you voted for, I pledge to be your advocate, your voice, your governor.”

Since then, he has largely kept his word. If it weren’t for a Democrat-led State Senate, however, more of his legislative agenda would have been enacted already. Nevertheless, Virginia is already better off under Youngkin today compared to eight years of Democratic rule.

Youngkin Represents All of the Commonwealth, Not Just NoVA

Unlike his two immediate predecessors, Governor Youngkin is championing the entire Commonwealth— not just his preferred regions. And our residents see that translated through his actions.

That’s why the former Carlyle Group executive enjoys a higher approval rating than President Joe Biden- 50% to 41%- and a slightly higher approval on education.

Ask any resident here about the Commonwealth’s leftward lurch in early 2020. It was scary. Some voters thought they were getting “moderate” Democrat policies, Instead, gun control, the Virginia Green New Deal, minimum wage increases, tax hikes, and abortion-on-demand until birth, just to name a few, were shoved through unchallenged.
