About
Hello there!
I’m a media strategist, consultant, freelance journalist, policy analyst, and award-winning outdoor writer based in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
I specialize in social media management, strategic communications, branding, public relations, marketing, digital strategies, speaking/trainings, basic photography and videography services. As of November 2023, I’m primarily focusing on my new role as Director of the Center for Energy and Conservation at the Independent Women’s Forum while juggling my business on a part-time freelance basis. I also host the weekly “District of Conservation” podcast and returned to Townhall.com as a freelance columnist in summer 2020.
Since 2016, I have consulted non-profits, political campaigns, start-ups, small businesses, and veteran-owned companies. My background in media ranges from working on radio to public relations to op-ed writing.
I previously worked for Leadership Institute, where I served as a Regional Field Coordinator and social media lecturer, from 2012-2016. I was also a Reporting Intern on Capitol Hill during summer 2012 with Media Research Center. I’ve also helped establish or manage various media websites over the years.
In May 2021, I was elected to serve on the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) Board of Directors. I began my term in June 2021. I became a Young Voices Contributor in July 2021, served in their Alumni Tracks from January 2022-May 2023, and served as the organization’s first Northeast Regional Leader from February 2022 until December 2023. Concurrently, I became a Visiting Fellow with the Independent Women’s Forum in summer 2021 and was elevated in Senior Fellow in June 2022 and then came on full-time as Director of our Center for Energy and Conservation in November 2023. I’m also a graduate of the 2021 State Policy Network Annual Meeting’s Generation Liberty Fellowship (GLF) in Orlando, FL.
