My podcast, District of Conservation, turns ONE next week! Yay!
I launched the podcast last September 3rd, 2018.
Here are some milestones from the past year:
- Thousands of downloads/listens
- Cracking the Top 100 Outdoor Category in Apple Podcasts
- Inspiring thought-provoking conversations
- Bringing on unique guests to discuss forestry, grizzly bear management, and furbearer conservation, for example
- Being listed as one of 13 great podcasts hosted by conservative women
In fact, there will be some exciting things happening on the podcast this fall. I can’t wait to reveal them. Stay tuned to be in the know!
I started the podcast to bring a national “conservative” take to conservation and environmentalism, while also having an emphasis in highlighting regional storytellers and newsmakers. I noticed a void in objective discussion about policies affecting sportsmen and women, so I thought, why not help fill the void?
I’ve written about my initial skepticism of podcasts and their long-form nature, but I’ve gradually warmed up to recording and editing them. And appearing on them too!
If you’ve listened or supported the podcast in any way, THANK YOU! If you haven’t, I hope you will discover it on your own.
Stay tuned for next week’s podcast birthday podcast on Tuesday, September 3rd! In the meantime, listen to all 46 past episodes AND subscribe/review/download on Apple Podcasts.
