If you’d like to bring a similar speech to your campus, event, or conference, I’m available for hire. Here’s my lecture Hunting Is Conservation (1) and what I can deliver for your event, if you choose to hire me for a lecture. Note: My speech cannot be distributed/altered/changed without my permission.

Here’s the gist of my lecture:

—I discussed why Americans go hunting

—I discussed what role hunting plays in conservation

—I discussed the economic impact hunting has

—I explored the problems of declining hunting participation #’s

—I offered some solutions for how to reverse the trend in participation

I want to take this topic nationwide to other campus Republican, conservative, and libertarian groups. Conservatives are conservationists, and it’s important they know what role hunting (and fishing) play in promoting conservation. To be a good steward of the environment and wildlife, you don’t have to support radical environmental or big government policies. I hope to deliver this similar message going forward.

Thank you to Nathan Burdette and his fellow WVU students from College Republicans and Turning Point for working tirelessly to provide a space for the talk. A special shout out to CFACT’s Adam Houser and Graham Beduze for putting the pieces together and making this possible. (Hope we can do it again too!)
