Eva Shockey Unveils Cover for Book “Taking Aim”

Huntress, social media influencer, and new author Eva Shockey unveiled the cover of her forthcoming book “Taking Aim” this evening. She is the daughter of legendary Canadian hunter Jim Shockey and co-stars on his show on The Outdoor Channel. Eva has carved a niche in her own right having been the second woman to grace the cover of Field & Stream. Moreover, she serves as a member of Cabela’s pro staff.

“Outsiders on the Inside” Premiere: Virginia Congressman Dave Brat

Today marked the debut of my new original series at The Resurgent called “Outsiders on the Inside.” The goal of the series is to interview members of Congress–preferably conservative and libertarian outsiders–to showcase those who are doing a good job to defend limited government, constitutionally conservative policies. And we mix it up with a little bit of discussion about The Great Outdoors and other cool tidbits.

My first interviewee was Congressman Dave Brat (R-VA) of Virginia’s 7th District. His interview can be found below:

The Hill: Time for feds to deregulate suppressors

Thanks to President Trump’s election, there is renewed interest in promoting safe and responsible firearms use. That includes promoting gun safety in the form of hearing protection. Given precedent and Republican control of all branches of government, it’s incumbent upon Congress to pass the Hearing Protection Act to deregulate suppressors.
